It is useful as a pre-exposure as well as post-exposure prophylaxis. And also useful during disease.

However once you are post-day-8 from first symptoms you need steroids.

Fluvoxamine is an emerging option as well - as an additional benefit.

And inhaled budesonide as well.

Aspirin can also be added as anti-coagulant.
