My Personal LongHaul IVM experiments!34M, LH since Sept. This is just what I’ve tried, not medical advise but wanted to share.
Went on IVM in January, started single dose (.2mg/kg) for 4 days in a row. (At a different point have also tried double doses for 2 days) both those seem to bring on a heavy headedness, headache different than my usual headache. But..
Once on a weekly schedule I felt some improvements, but also could feel symptoms would be worse about day 6. So I’ve pushed dosing to every 5th day and had 2 months of dramatic improvement
Low to no chest pain, reducing evening headaches, improved energy, improved my parosmia, and way more mental clarity. Actually started scheduling things in the evenings!
Then doc and I decided to go off meds and see... about day 10 noticed symptoms back and for 5-6 days they got progressively worse. Lost energy, chest pain came back, parosmia smells were worse, felt pretty daunting and looming over me again. Went back on my dose every 5th day regimen had 3 again doses so far... I’m again seeing improvement, chest pain is gone again and headaches, parosmia are improving again.
Also take C , quercitin, and flush niacin regularly. Drink lots water and try to sleep until I naturally wake up.
Happy to answer -anecdotally- any IVM questions! Seen ppl have improvements for a coupe weeks after, but didn’t keep up dosing. Understandably normal use of this drug is one and done, so there are no papers I could find on long term use. At this point I’m just happy to have most of my life back!!
Very interesting. I wonder why it's taking this long to treat? It's great to hear that your symptoms responded so quickly after restarting. Does your doc have any idea how long this is going to take?

No clue, currently setting up for a year.
Since you already tried to go off the meds, this shouldn't be "offensive" hopefully... but it would be very interesting to hear what would happen if the doc gave you randomly and double blinded IVM or placebo for a month... but I guess getting a non-distinguishable placebo will be a problem.
But obviously I'm glad that you could obtain it and it's helping, and sad that the improvement is not permanent. Wonder what the underlying cause and mechanism of IVM's improvement is here.

Right! is it just immune modulating, leaving an underlying issue, or is it actively keeping viral reservoirs at bay... some things like an improving smell and taste confusion seems like there is some repair happening.

What’s the dose of Quercetin?
[-] Bluefreakage | 2 points
Most recently 33mg Alpha-glycosyl isoquercitin/ day sometimes twice

Great! Thanks

Quercetin is somewhat useless without supplemental zinc.

Quercetin has an effect of stabilizing the membranes of mast cells, which in turn reduces histamine production and inflammatory cytokine signalling that further amplifies inflammation. But indeed the zinc ionophore aspect is also important for bringing zinc into the cell where it can disrupt viral RdRP.

Interesting, I had been on zinc but haven’t refilled it once it ran out... I see it has a benefit of moving zinc into cells apparently. I had mostly been taking it for histamine & cytokine reduction
My friend had covid and recovered and he said he still has issues with his smell like 4 months later he describes it as being 90/10.. sometimes he can’t smell.. would you recommend him taking ivm for his lingering COVID-19 symptoms?

I would at least try it, it’s a remarkably ’safe’ drug... my parosmia is much better now, but still 85/90 (could only be improved while I’m on it tho... hard to know long term yet)
