Nasal and bucal spraysDoes anybody here use any type of antiviral spray to protect themselves against COVID?
The IMASK+ protocol doesn't say anything on the topic, and I have also kinda forgotten about it totally. I remember after seeing a few positive results doing a quick search online for a nasal spray and never buying it and forgetting about it after. But looking at the Carvallo study again (and /uSwiftJustice88 reinforcing it) reminded me that it is probably the safest first line defense we could have against an airborne respiratory disease.
Any recommendations on this? Anybody using one? Any good studies to recommend looking at?
I am in Canada and using :
Betadine Iota-Carageenan Saline Nasal Spray - every 3 days
Betadine Povidone Iodine Throat Gargle 1% Povidone Iodine - every 3 days.
Follow u/CovidCrusher on Twitter, he has all the studies :) New ones out on iota-carageenan:
For Povidone Iodine was very efficacious in Bangladesh for prophylaxis and reduction of severitry.

My husband & I have been using Betadine Cold Defence spray (iota-carrageenan) for nose & Betadine Throat Gargle (povidone iodine) for mouths before/after exposure in community. OTC at London Drugs Canada. Dr Carvallo’s studies last year included iota carrageenan w/ivm w/great success for prophylaxis -this is what alerted us to this possibility.

Great, these seem like a great option (since it was so successful in the Carvallo study). Let me see if I can find it in Brasil
Look into Budesonide: https://budesonideworks.com/ Dr. prescribed nebulizer. Also available as a nasal inhaler not sure the effectiveness but I got some just in case.
Rhinocort 24 Hour Allergy Relief Budesonide Nasal Spray, 120 sprays
Also check into Xylitol nasal spray and Iota Carageenan nasal spray. There were some studies done on them a few months ago not sure if there were any follow up studies. I got some Xylitol nasal spray sold under brand name Xlear and use it sporadically before or after I go out.

Iota Carageenan
Any idea if people are using Iota Carageenan ? That, combined with IVM was 100% protective in Carvallo's study.
Here is a recent study posted in r/COVID19.

I am using iota carageenan nasal spray on the rare days I have to leave the house. I made my own using these instructions:
This seems the real thing.
But not for sale yet.
I bought this one:

Check out r/interferon, start post explains it.

I didn't have time to read all the studies, is the evidence pretty strong?

No RCT for sars2 has ever been done. One documented field trial, supporting animal and in vitro tests.
You really have to decide for yourself. Links in start post are the minimum you should watch/read.

Again there seems to be little interest in the medical community for effective preventative treatments... why in the world would nobody have done a study on this.
The NIH, WHO and all the other medical bodies in the western world must either be completely incompetent or corrupt or they have evolved into useless regulatory bodies that cannot do anything without support from big pharma which falls into the corrupt category in my books.

Check out Xlear nasal spray. It's made with Xylitol and GSE. Xylitol showed potent antiviral properties in vitro against SARS-CoV-2. They have a good amount of data on their website including Covid-19. https://www.xlear.com/science
It's available on Amazon for $10.
I also highly recommend using Listerine Antiseptic Mouthwash gargling any time after exposure risk. It showed potent antiviral effect in vitro where it inactivated 99.999% of the SARS-CoV-2 virus after only 30 seconds. WhiteBoard Doctor and Dr. Been covered the study. You must use the antiseptic version of Listerine. I'm sure it's the alcohol that's annihilating the virus.
