Quick Guide to Ivermectin

This is a QUICK Guide for those who have heard of Ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19, but are not sure where to get further information, or how to get help.
This guide is for Information Only (NOT Medical Advice).

Summary

The FLCCC Alliance (Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance) is one of the best sources of information regarding ivermectin and COVID-19.

The FLCCC Alliance was organized in March 2020 by a group of highly published, world renowned Critical Care physician/scholars from the USA (with support from around the world), to research and develop lifesaving protocols for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 in all stages of illness.

Clinical trials have shown that Ivermectin is effective in the treatment of COVID-19. It can be used for prophylaxis (prevention), early treatment or late treatment. FLCCC has published two protocols for the treatment of COVID-19:
FLCCC disclaimer: the protocols are not medical advice, but are recommendations for use by professional providers.

  1. I-MASK+ Prevention & Early Outpatient Treatment Protocol for COVID-19: https://covid19criticalcare.com/covid-19-protocols/i-mask-plus-protocol/
This is the protocol for Prevention or Early Treatment. Download the protocol (available in multiple languages).
Ivermectin dose is based on body weight (refer to the conversion table on page 2).

  2. MATH+ Hospital Treatment Protocol for COVID-19: https://covid19criticalcare.com/covid-19-protocols/math-plus-protocol/
This is the protocol for Hospital Treatment. Download the protocol (available in multiple languages).

  2. Watch the short video testimonials from FLCCC's YouTube channel (most are between 3-5 minutes long): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5rJlf5jdr_I6qiozbQdx-g/videos

  3. Contact your own doctor to get a prescription for Ivermectin (if required, contact other local doctors for second or third opinions, etc). Show doctors the available research and evidence as per FLCCC information page below: Information to Share With Your Doctor: https://covid19criticalcare.com/guide-for-this-website/take-action-and-share-the-infos-with-your-doctor/
If doctors claim that there's no approved early treatment or no approved treatment outside of a hospital, refer them to the numerous clinical trials which they can read and verify for themselves (see Supporting Evidence below). Also remind them that there are ethics governing medicine (see Declaration of Helsinki below).

  4. If local doctors will not prescribe Ivermectin, then contact doctor/s in your country (if listed) from the following lists:
How to Get Ivermectin (USA residents only): https://covid19criticalcare.com/guide-for-this-website/how-to-get-ivermectin/
Directory of Doctors Prescribing Effective Outpatient COVID-19 Therapy: https://www.exstnc.com/

  5. Note: Veterinary formulations of Ivermectin are used to treat animals. The animal medications are different from those approved for humans, and may contain inactive ingredients or impurities that are harmful to humans. The consensus of the medical community is that people should never take medications intended for animals.

Supporting Evidence

  1. 52 controlled trials with a total of 17,557 patients have been completed to date (26 Apr 2021).
This includes 27 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs).

Declaration of Helsinki

Using an unproven treatment -- when no proven treatment is available or other treatments have failed -- is a fundamental human right recognized in the Declaration of Helsinki.

The Declaration of Helsinki is a widely recognized standard in medical research ethics.

Refer your doctors to the World Medical Association's (WMA) Declaration of Helsinki: https://www.wma.net/policies-post/wma-declaration-of-helsinki-ethical-principles-for-medical-research-involving-human-subjects/

Clause 37 covers Unproven Interventions in Clinical Practice. Clause 37 states:
"37. In the treatment of an individual patient, where proven interventions do not exist or other known interventions have been ineffective, the physician, after seeking expert advice, with informed consent from the patient or a legally authorised representative, may use an unproven intervention if in the physician's judgement it offers hope of saving life, re-establishing health or alleviating suffering."

It doesn't hurt to remind doctors that there are ethics governing medicine. Whether doctors subscribe to the Declaration of Helsinki, their national code of ethics, or even their own personal ethical values, they need to be reminded to put patients first.
