Is it OK to take Ivermectin again after the 5th day?My father took it for 5 days. His last dose was before 4 days. His symptoms stayed the same, maybe milder but he don't feel major improvement.
What kind of symptoms? Any shortness of breath, cough etc? It would be good to check with a pulse oxymeter in any case, it's not unusual to have low saturation with covid before you "feel it", which means you can get to hospital too late, while you should be getting steroids for few days already.
There's also risk of blood clots/thrombosis so he should consult a doctor about aspirin or similar stuff.
I'm not just going to make that discussion over one post. We consulted with doctors before my father started taking Ivermectin. I took it for prophylaxis without consulting a doctor but I checked many independent resources before that.

Typically a refresher dose can be given after 3-4 days break. For example for 2 more days. Even after recovery there may be value in continuing 12mg weekly dosing for a month or so
I have experience of a recent case of husband and wife who took ivermectin 12mg per day for 5 days. They reported they had developed taste/smell loss a few days before the ivermectin ended (this can happen ie taste/smell loss can still happen even if taking ivermectin).
So after a break of a day started with 12mg at dinner and 12mg at breakfast next day. This was sufficient to give 100 percent recovery of taste/smell within 1.5 days for both husband and wife (which is a powerful signal of efficacy).
After evening dose, next morning they felt some improvement in taste/smell - after taking the morning dose then by evening they felt 50pct recovery of taste/smell. By next morning they reported 95 pct recovered. A day or two later they reported 100pct recovery.
Typically taste/smell recovery takes 1 month or so and a few weeks for others. Though there can be cases who have fleeting loss and recovery within 1 day (I know of one such case - who worked in the sun so probably had high vitamin d levels).
I have previously seen 5 cases of partial taste/smell loss recovery within 24 hours of taking 12mg ivermectin.
Coming back to your question, you may get faster resolution of symptoms if a doctor gave him Famotidine 40mg per day for 5-10 days. Usually reduces symptoms within 24 hours.
At day 7-8 from first symptoms a doctor doing early treatment will give steroids (but not usually before day 7 from first symptoms).
The FLCCC website has a list of early treatment telemedicine doctors - the links for those are given in this post:

"Early treatment" essentially is code for doctors who know how to treat covid19 early using Ivermectin etc. Generally with early treatment, serious outcomes are reduced hugely and there are almost zero long haulers as well. Otherwise almost 25-30 percent long haulers are being seen among covid19 patients who just take paracetamol etc.
