Covid positiveHello.
I tested positive yesterday and a friend is FedExing me Ivermectin today. I plan on taking 3 (6mg) tablets today, 3 more on day 3 and, 3 on the 7th day. That dosage corresponds to my body weight.
I have mild symptoms of swore throat, mild fever etc.
What side affects are there or I could expect.

I can tell you my gf and gf mother both had COVID. And the doctors in Mexico have prescribed ivermectin. I’m not sure if the dose but both coped well. They still don’t have full sense of smell and taste. But they had no other complications, or problems. I’m not sure if their dosage.

You can expect your scabies to be gone and mild to zero side effects. Mild side effects may include skin rash, nausea, diarrhea.
Thanks for all the good information. I still have mild symptoms and will keep you posted.

I would consider getting a prescription for Fluvoxamine if you are in the United States. This article goes over the evidence and has a list of providers that can discuss it with you and provide you with a prescription via telemedicine. I obtained Ivermectin and Fluvoxamine to have ready in case I got sick from Dr. Haider, who is on the list and is very responsive. Dr. Haider offers a prescription for budesonide which has shown promise in early trials.

Good luck. I hope that you feel better soon.

What was your first day of symptoms - could be mild cough, headache, bodyache, backache, fever or diarrhea. Fever can be for 1-2 days also.
Wednesday. Coughing.and scratchy throat

scratchy
US? Scratchy throat is apparently a symptom of the new Brasilian variant and headache, they say it causes very sudden deterioration.
How old and comorbidities? You might want to get a blood oxygen measuring device.
Follow i-mask, also look at their additional drugs that might help, fluvoxamine and some others might be a good idea if you are high risk.
If you have diabetes, make sure your blood sugar levels are perfect. Apparently managing blood sugar of diabetics during covid is extremely important.

You are on day 5 or so.
Ivermectin 2+2 (double dose) first day and then 1+1 for 4 additional days maybe
Some doctors give 12mg per day for 5 days.
Then can give gap of 3-4 days and give refresher dose of 12mg per day for 2 days.
The protocol can vary depending on doctor etc.
Famotidine 20mg 1+1 for 5 to 10 days - will reduce symptoms within 24 hours.
Also typical is:
Zinc 40mg elemental zinc per day
Vitamin d3 200,000 IU weekly for 2 weeks ie total 2-3 times.
Vitamin c 500mg
Vitamin b1/b-complex
NAC 600mg-1200mg per day
Aspirin 75mg or higher
Then on day 8 from first symptoms, typically doctors will start on prednisolone 20mg to 40mg per day for 1 week (then taper down to zero over next week).
The FLCCC website has a list of early treatment telemedicine doctors - the links for those are given in this post:

So you've taken two doses of ivermectin? Did you take anything else? Did you go to a doctor or get a prescription for anything? Where did you find out about ivermectin?

The I-MASK+ protocol ( EARLY OUTPATIENT PROTOCOL ) recommends:
Ivermectin 0.2 mg/kg* per dose — one dose daily, minimum of 2 days, continue daily until recovered (max 5 days).
Vitamin D3 4,000 IU/day
Vitamin C 500–1,000 mg twice a day
Quercetin 250 mg twice a day
Zinc 100 mg/day
Melatonin10 mg before bedtime (causes drowsiness)
Aspirin325 mg/day (unless contraindicated)

+100 to this. Highly recommend the FLCCC's protocol. Don't skip on the Aspirin for the anti-coagulant effect. Also ensure you a proning as much as possible. Since the virus will still replicate for another few days, you can also consider using Povidone-Iodine throat rinse to decrease viral load.
For Ivermectin, best to take with fatty meal or just an avocado as ivermectin is lipophillic (binds to fat). It's bitter so your stomach could be a bit unsettled for 15-20minutes, otherwise I wouldn't expect any major issues.

Is Povidone Iodine any similar to Potassium Iodine ?

Potassium Iodide is used for hyperthyroid treatment and radiation exposure.
Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic that kills viruses and bacteria. There have been some smaller studies out of Bangladesh and India that have shown some prophylaxis and reduction in severe illness when using regularly. They used the 1% solution. I use Betadine here, although the US version is only 0.5%. You should be able to find in most pharmacies on the shelf.
