Revisiting highly regarded emergency blog (Rebel EM) - still sitting on fence on ivermectin - check out the complete opposite view of his viewersWhiteboard Doctor (who covers ivermectin favorably and reviews each study in great detail) had brought attention to Rebel EM blog as a respected medical blog to his viewers, and had said at that time that he was excited to see a mainstream emergency medicine blog cover ivermectin at that time:

Now starting to find ivermectin mentioned by mainstream emergency medicine websites. 6:40 minute mark: He says that on the positive side the fact this mainstream website says that there is a signal there and ivermectin should be evaluated in trials - and while not overwhelming, at least a mainstream website is mentioning it ie websites that emergency physicians use on a regular basis.
However Rebel EM had sat on the fence at that time, and still does despite appearance of new studies - this article has been updated up to the recent flawed Colombia JAMA paper.
Now compare to what his readers are saying in the comments there and what is apparent to them, and not to the blog author - near unanimous opinion that "how can it hurt" - or "why are physicians prevented from trying it".
Comments include several doctors who say they are giving it to their patients.
As an example of obtuseness in other areas - their view on vitamin d supplementation (fail to understand that vitamin d when given late is not going to affect - should instead use the faster acting calcifidiol - which has shown benefit when effects are needed fast, for example in ICU patients).
However to just use a study to advance a stance generally against vitamin d is bad. They should at least have qualified their conclusion by pointing to the other evidence which support use of calcifidiol etc. If you mention vitamin d, but do not mention calcifidiol, you are misleading readers into a wide dislike for vitamin d for covid19:
