They should listen to this man. It's amazing he's still alive, THE guy who discovered it! I'm just in awe at all the good Ivermectin has done. Seriously, but for the discovery there would be thousands and thousands of people who would be blind. I saw a documentary a long time ago about River Blindness and the parasites that cause it. There's some kind of black fly that carries the larvae, so when people go to collect water they get bitten by these flies and they get infected. Those larvae grow into worms and migrate to people's eyes and they go blind over time. There was another medicine they tried, but it worked too quickly and made things worse because the dead worms would clump. After years of annual free Ivermectin tablets, they were able to mostly eradicate it. Once they broke the cycle of reproduction with Ivermectin, it became rare instead of usual. Ivermectin has saved lives and spared so many humans and animals from utter misery from parasites.
