TrailSite article by Mary Beth Pfeiffer on the breadth of "fact checking" by media outlets on early treatment options, and the Pavlovian aversion by journalists to be wrong again on ivermectin after being burned by the case of hydroxychloroquine (March 1, 2021)[-] BernieTheDachshund | 4 points
I was just thinking that too. That was quite the fiasco and when people hear about another drug that helps with covid, they don't want to hear it. They think it's another quack medicine. What a shame.

Article covers examples of "fact checking" by social media outlets, and the cooling of enthusiasm in the journalism community to new ideas for early treatment. An example of a collective Pavlovian aversion response to being burned by hydroxychloroquine fiasco - so they have low appetite for new ideas.
Covers:
Dr Been's youtube video removals
doesn't mention, but Medcram (Dr Seheult), Dr Mike Hansen have experienced the same with multiple videos
her own censored posts on Facebook
multiple examples of Facebook bans for sharing articles
Ivermectin for MDs Team - Facebook group with 10,200 members removed because of a posting of a news article on Slovakian approval for ivermectin
Twitter removal of Brazil Health ministry tweet urging citizens to seek early treatment
removal of Dr Pierre Kory of the FLCCC testimony before the US Senate - which is a matter of public record
Dr Andrew Hill's meta-analysis of ivermectin studies video (adviser to WHO/Unitaid) - removed by YouTube
@CovidAnalysis twitter account suspended - author of meta-analysis website ivmmeta.com
Dr Zelenko's twitter account with 150,000 followers suspended
Covexit facebook account suspended - author of covexit.com
The irony is that while the hydroxychloroquine misstep is used to avoid a repeat with ivermectin, no such skepticism exists for regulatory agencies which previously issued contrary-to-common-sense guidelines on not needing to wear masks (and their overly high emphasis on washing hands, but none on the respiratory route!).
