Can I stretch my supply???

Hi, I got a naturopath to prescribe prophylactic Ivermectin for me, but she's following a different dosing regimen than the FLCCC Alliance. Whereas the FLCCC says I should take 12 mg every 2 weeks, she has me on 9.5 mg every week. I get the pills from a compounding pharmacy and they're quite expensive :( I'd love it if I could essentially double my supply and save some $$$. So....wondering if anyone knows if the dose is close enough that I could still get protective action from taking 9.5 mg every two weeks. Thanks!

IVM's dosing in both acute C19 and prophylactic use is not well established. IMHO, weekly dosing is much better than biweekly. The IVERCAR trial showed much higher efficacy using weekly dosing than all other prophy studies. I'd stick to the 9.5mg weekly dosing at a minimum. Pharmacological studies have shown IVM's serum half life is around 18hrs. It does remain in tissues longer but the studies I read showed tissue concentration half lives of 3-6 days. I'd search for a doctor that will prescribe the pills rather than a compounding pharmacy. Personally I'd try one of the telemed services such as speakwithanmd.com. Just include that you want IVM for prophy in the initial request so only doctors who are willing to prescribe it will respond to your request.

As a counterpoint, even biweekly dosing with the smaller amount will likely provide some benefit. If you were to contract C19 it would probably be a very minor case and you could immediately dose with a full course of IVM as early treatment.

Thank you SO MUCH for this comprehensive info and guidance! :) I'm grateful I found this group. (My first venture into Reddit...don't know how it really "works," so on the learning curve!)
