Parents are positiveMy parents both tested positive yesterday . I’ve been around them a lot. I’m a little worried just because I vape. I was able to get a prescription for Ivermectin that I took 1 of 2 doses today. Also taking Vitamin D3, vitamin c, zinc. I will get tested on Friday 5 days since last exposure.
You’re doing the right things at the right time, it’s scary but you’ll be OK. You’re treating early. My sister just went through it and only took ivermectin, it helped her and now she’s OK. Her husband took ivermectin and never caught it from her. Her daughter did test positive for Covid but had no symptoms.
I would be more/also worried about your parents, are they medicated similarly as yourself too, hopefully?

Yes. They are even more medicated since they are already positive.

You might also consider melatonin, some studies have shown it to be extremely good as prophylaxis and a very strong indication that it might be what prevents bats from having symptoms from coronaviruses. Just take at night and it will also make you sleep better.

I will try that.

Just read some more about Fluvoxamine, looks like it's also extremely effective and as a side benefit it will make you happy! :)

Fluvoxamine has shown a lot of promise as a treatment for COVID. The evidence is discussed here.

I am told that City Health Urgent Care in Oakland does telemedicine and will prescribe Fluvoxamine if you ask for it. https://www.cityhealthuc.com/
Someone below listed a link to doctors that provide early treatment. I would try to get Ivermectin too. I am personally less convinced on Ivermectin than some of the people here, but I think that the risk/reward is such as to make it a no-brainer.
Also, even if you vape your parents are much higher risk than you by virtue of the age difference, and you should speak to them about seeking early treatment.

Someone can correct me if they think I'm wrong, but quercetin would be a good add to help get the zinc into the cells.
Please stop vaping immediately if you care for a pair of healthy lungs!
Nicotine lowers the risk of getting severe Covid. It binds a pathway that triggers an inflammatory cascade. Although vaping in general isn’t healthy for lungs, I think nicotine gum has the same modulating effect and wouldn’t damage lungs.

I know it’s a scary thing but try to keep calm. My dad tested positive for Covid like 3 weeks ago and he is doing well now. I was around him and thankfully tested negative. Give your parents the same vitamins. As for vaping I think you will be fine.
