McMaster U Researchers to lead large international study of ivermectinThis looks to be a large well-funded study (will also look at metformin and fluvoxamine). Good news, but evidence of benefit for ivermectin was clear months ago - it should have started then. We would have had results by now.

IF enrollment is sufficient, results should be out in three to six months.
Great to know this is happening and kudos to the Gates Foundation for funding.
This is, however, a BIG IF, with a BIG SHOULD.
Meanwhile the treating physician who is unable to enroll patients in this study must use the best available data in their decision making, and will thus be prescribing ivermectin for patients proven to have Covid-19 and as a preventive in non-vaccinated front line health personnel and other high risk high exposure groups.

Good lord about time, you would think there is a pandemic or something. Hopefully well powered and not 12 months until preprint .
