Ivermectin, inhibition of the JAK/STAT3 pathway, and a discussion I would like to haveHello evervyone. So I have been taking ivermectin prohylactically for a couple of months now and it has been just fantastic. I have been in high exposure areas and was directly exposed to a few positives for hours and Never caught covid. This stuff seems incredible. No side effects or anything.
Another thing I have noticed, is that for some reason, with no other explanation (due to having literally the exact same diet an excercise routine for the past 3 years with no deviations), I am somehow considerably leaner in terms of fat. I, again, for the last three years have maintained 12% bodyfat. I started noticing shortly after starting Ivermectin that I was far leaner. (I check my weight and boyfat via the same calipers over the last 3 years with no deviations from 12%. I am now sitting slightly below 10% which has my jaw kinda dropped. Meaning, I have NEVER in my life seen my abs either which now are entirely visible. Well now they are visible and my face is leaner as well. I started thinking, I wonder if Ivermectin could have caused this (as it is the only thing I had changed, and to be honest, I am kind of loving this effect, where ever it is coming from).
At any rate, I did some reading and apparently, Ivermectin has effects in inhibiting JAK/STAT3 which have effects in the modulation of adipose tissue differentiation. There are different types of STATS such as STAT 1, 2, 3, 4, 5A, and 5B. Quite alot.
Here is a study regarding STAT types and their effects on the modulation of different adipose tissue types. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4029773/
In addition, there are other studies pointing to how Ivermectin seems to remain in adipose tissue due to depots in adipose tissue, for even weeks after the last dosage administered. This all is fascinating, and a Very welcome effect if this is indeed happening to me. It is kinda cool to be at a very low bodyfat without having changed anything else. Am I saying it absolutely is Ivermectin, absolutely not. I am just saying it is something I have indeed noticed and the only thing different about my routine, bodyweight composition, etc over the last 3 years, has been my usage of Ivermectin, and knowing it inhibits the JAK/STAT3 pathway, and that said pathway does have effects on adipose tissue modulation, I felt I had to share it. If anyone has lost any excess fat tissue after having started, I would like to hear from you. Of course anecdotes are not proof at all, but I find the possibility of such a phenomenon incredibly interesting. Stay safe everyone
