Ivermectin and asthmaI had earlier reported on the possible benefit of ivermectin for asthmatics.
And the one anecdote of reduced need for inhaler for someone who was on ivermectin prophylaxis 12mg every Sunday:

https://www.nature.com/articles/ja201711 15 February 2017 Review Article Ivermectin: enigmatic multifaceted ‘wonder’ drug continues to surprise and exceed expectations Asthma A 2011 study investigated the impact of ivermectin on allergic asthma symptoms in mice and found that ivermectin (at 2 mg kg−1) significantly curtailed recruitment of immune cells, production of cytokines in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluids and secretion of ovalbumin-specific IgE and IgG1 in the serum. Ivermectin also suppressed mucus hypersecretion by goblet cells, establishing that ivermectin can effectively curb inflammation, such that it may be useful in treating allergic asthma and other inflammatory airway diseases. Asthma - didn't know about this. EDIT: I may have actually searched for this to screen for any issues for ivermectin for asthmatic patients - but had forgotten. But this article's section on asthma caught my eye again at least. I just asked an asthmatic who is taking ivermectin for prophylaxis (12mg per week) for last few months of he has felt a relief in his asthma, and he said yes - for this time of year he usually needs a puff of inhaler every day, but now he can go without it for a few days ie so he said yes asthma is reduced.
I am now surfacing this as a separate post to draw attention to it.
Well I have another anecdote - today someone who had taken 12mg ivermectin ~~a week or so ago~~ on Dec 17, contacted me on Dec 23 and said his asthma has reduced - from needing inhaler once per day to not needing it for a whole week.
He had taken ivermectin for possible worms in stomach - and since he was asthmatic he had asked me then what it's impact was for asthmatics.
I had said it is generally positive (and I quoted the above references ie it is reported to help in the literature and I know of one case who has reported it certainly did not make his asthma worse, but in fact made it less severe).
So now today he excitedly approached me and narrated that it seemed to have helped him with the asthma.
Now this is just one anecdote, and maybe is just power of suggestion. Or could even be related to ivermectin acting on parasites and if parasites may have some link to asthma, or it could be ivermectin having a systemic impact that alleviates asthma symptoms.
EDIT: could even be related to bed bugs and mites - if those are what may trigger his asthma, and if bed bugs who bite him die from it (similar to the WHO planned program for mass administration of ivermectin in areas where malaria is recalcitrant).
In any cases, just something interesting to report. Take it with a grain of salt.

I kind of doubt the study mice had bed bugs lol. It looks like they studied the cells and independent of other variables like that there was some sort of (beneficial) impact. So that is good news. I hope they're doing more studies since there does seem to be some kind of correlation. Great post!
