Using ivermectin to on a regular basis

Any downsides?

If it works for preventing covid wouldn’t it also work for other pathogens, stds etc?

It’s a very safe drug taken twice a year, even extremely large doses are quite safe. But it seems that the safety and side effects of long term regular use has not been studied.

(I would love to be wrong about that, I’ve searched and asked and not found that data)

I agree. If you're taking ivermectin prophylactically every week or two, that's a dosing schedule that's never been used in any pre-covid protocol, AFAIK has never been studied.
