I have no clue of course, but don't think anyone else really knows either:(

One of the proposed mechanisms of action of IVM is binding to Spike protein (am I right?), so I am not sure whether we can exclude the possibility that IVM might hinder the immune response to Spike that you want to induce... (just guessing here)

No, that's a discarded theory. IVM doesn't bind to any protein

But the question is, why? If ivermectin does indeed fulfil its purpose regarding covid, then why bother with the vaccine?

If you get reinfected you could be spreading it before you notice symptoms. The vaccine would already have your immune system primed to mount an attack, depending on how long immunity lasts.

...because even if ivermectin works for pfx the vaccine lasts for at least several months while ivermectin does not, you dont have to redose nearly as frequently

On some video long ago they said the only thing that IMV has a reaction with is the Denge virus vaccine and some other vaccine. Therefore it is certainly something to explore.
