Should I Prescribe Ivermectin for COVID19?Dr. Hansen, a board certified Pulmonologist and Critical Care doctor, conducted a video review on Ivermectin and came to the conclusion that it should not be used until more and better designed RCTs are published. Dr. Hansen is more open minded than most inpatient physicians (obviously excluding the FLCCC). I have a tremendous amount of respect for him and he's published a significant amount of helpful C19 information. However, I strongly agree with his opinion on this topic!
Rather than regurgitate my comment on his YT video I'll include it below:
I have a tremendous amount of respect for Dr. Hansen. However, I strongly disagree with his conclusion on not using Ivermectin until more RCTs are completed. While I agree that the quality of the evidence isn't of the highest level we are in a pandemic with 4000 American's dying every day. There are large numbers of RCTs, OCTs, case series, and epidemiology data that all line up to show efficacy of Ivermectin in C19 in all stages of disease. The WHO and NIH are currently reviewing Ivermectin's use in Covid-19, and they will change their guidance. However, they are much too slow to respond which is directly causing countless deaths.
All outpatient physicians should feel confident in prescribing IVM off-label for C19 based on the evidence that is well presented in meta-analyses such as the FLCCC's, Dr. Hill's, Dr. Gill's, and The Evidence-Based Medicine Consultancy Ltd (all linked below). Any patient who contracts Covid-19 should immediately contact their personal physician with a copy of the FLCCC's I-MASK+ protocol and their Summary of Evidence (also linked below).
