There was however a marked reduction of anosmia/hyposmia, a reduction of cough and a tendency to lower viral loads and lower IgG titers which warrants assessment in larger trials.

Excellent! Let's ignore the other 15+ positive studies and wait for Dr. Chaccour to conduct larger trials during 2021 and publish the results in 2022. What?! We have all the time in the world, come on!

Despite efforts of some to discredit every study because of imperfect science, is that a scientific attitude? If we get the same result over and over, maybe something is going on.

Why wouldn't it make more sense to just PCR-test the swabs from Days 4 and 7? Why introduce all the mechanics, more room for error?

I believe they did PCR testing on the swabs.
EDX Sars-Cov-2, Exact Diagnostics LLC, Fort Worth Texas

Then they did all the other stuff to see if the swabs had actually contained whole, infectious virus. PCR tests can be positive even if there are only tiny, non-infectious particles of SARS-COV-2 RNA present.

Good observation. Shouldn't the initial swab have been verified?

In my opinion the biggest weakness was that they were looking and mild patients with "no risk factors for complicated disease". As the N was small everybody both in placebo and treatment arm happened to cure all right. It's hard to say anything about ivermectin's ability to help with worsening of the disease if nobody in the control group had worsening of the disease.

This is the right answer.
