What countries currently have widespread ivermectin use?Just wondering if we have a roundup of which countries are using this drug either for standard treatment for people with covid, or for widespread prophylaxis. Does anyone happen to know?

India:
They also happen to have an extremely low death rate. I'm sure other countries use it as well!!

I assembled this list a couple months ago. It's not about standard treatment, though, or widespread prophylaxis. Maybe this list could be a starting point for your research, if you want to look into the details. That would be an interesting report!
ivermectin is being used to fight covid-19 in these 16 countries (probably more):
Argentina, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela
Is anyone aware of ivermectin being used in any other countries?
Hi! I live in Mexico and would like to tell you that the health system here doesn't support the use of Ivermectin.

Thanks for that information!
There have been news stories about people buying ivermectin in Mexico and self-treating. No prescription required. At least one person from Mexico posted to the sub about buying ivermectin locally for covid19.
Have you noticed that?
But that's different from the government endorsing use of the drug.
What therapeutics are being used in Mexico?
Well I know that they aren't prescribing it like widely and the buying with no prescription might have been true before since that's how I got two or three little boxes of it, but right now if you want to buy you have to show your prescrption. About the therapeutics the health subsecretary aaaaaalways contradicting himself about this pandemic, to me is an incompetent but anyway government is widely sticking to Dexamethasone. Remdesivir I'm not sure of they still use it, as far as I know they are.

I do not agree, the IMSS officially used it in certain clinics, many doctors now prescribe it, in Chiapas they are giving away 10,000 treatments. Dr. Covid has given away (with the help of donors) more than 100,000 treatments, BUT Mexico is a huge country and things are worse than ever there: too many doctors snd clinics do not prescribe it still.
Of course there would be some isolated cases here and in any other part of the world. With Ivermectin, Interferon, HCQ, Chlorine Dioxide etc, also careful with the word "oficially", since oficially Ivermectin is not an approved treatment and IMSS is goverment dependant

watch out for countries or studies that only use a single one-time dose of ivermectin, I personally believe that is useless and will skew results to make it look bad
has to be multi-day, doesn't have to be high dose but half-life is only a day and the anti-viral and anti-IL6 action will cease compared to the anti-parasitic behavior
yeah I know some argue it will "lurk in tissues" but that's not how the anti-viral action seems to work, remember in the long-covid studies they've found covid virus actually hiding in some organs so if ivermectin isn't in the bloodstream it won't get there

It sounds like the article posted today suggests that the Dominican Republic has widespread use of Ivermectin. "The renowned cardiologist and health manager [Dr. José Natalio Redondo] affirmed that Ivermectin’s use against the symptoms of Covid-19 is practically generalized in the country and attributed to this factor, among others, the fact that the risk of dying from this disease in the Dominican Republic is significantly lower than in the United States."

This is really interesting. Do you know when they started using ivermectin in earnest? It doesn't say in the article, only that the team has been working since March. I doubt they were using ivermectin that early. I'm just curious when they started it across the board to see if it lines up with their deaths falling off a cliff in mid September despite new cases staying steady.

I know almost nothing about it outside what is in the article. I know of a Redditor who lives there. I will send him a message and see if he has anything to add.

Hi, I live in the Dom Rep. Yes Dominican Republic has been using IVM heavily since I would say may/june.
I have helped people who were still symptomatic and utilising IVM, then adding L- lysine. The biggest PROBLEM in the Dominican republic in relation to covid, SOME IDIOTS keep propagating that Coffee is healthy while having covid. Whats ap message falsely claiming CNN latin america said so. This piece of propaganda has probably killed hundreds.
IVM works MUCH better without coffee, OJ, plantains, rice, nuts and seeds.
Late summer cases dried up so please disregard this time period in your statistical analysis. I have been having a tough time finding people to help. I understand recently cases are spiking. Ivermectin is over the counter here but not always easy to find. Unfortunately I don't watch the news so I don't have any knowledge if it is being promoted that way. I understand that several hospital networks utilize it, and one hospital last I checked in sept, still had people on HCQ.
I had spoke to the regional manager of public health in Santiago, mid summer. His opinion on IVM was mixed, saying it worked but not perfectly. I mentioned to him the issue with coffee and diet increases effectiveness. Unfortunately there was a change in government in august so now he is no longer employed there.
FOR THOSE LONG HAULERS, IVM does work fairly well, but you need to change diet and prepare your body, take asprin, remove all supplements that raise Nitric oxide for at least a week prior to using IVM. If you don't have hiv/pacemaker/autoimmune, 500mg of lysine for 5 days, and raise every 5 days 500mg until you hit 2gm per day. Lysine and ivermectin work very well together. Yes keep the lowish doses of aspirin going as well.
Right now it seems that there is Clusters in some areas that is filling up the hospitals. For sure it is not widespread at the moment.
If you have any questions or I can get any info for you, feel free to ask.
