From speakwithanmd.com the script is 12 mg once a week. At my weight, 200ug/kg would be 20 mg, though at my ideal weight, it would be pretty close to the 12 mg.

I searched the sub and found 37 hits on "6mg", none of which suggested that it was enough. Nearly all were of the form "Take 3 6mg tablets" or similar.

IMO (the evidence is far from definitive) the minimal dose for prophylaxis is 200mcg/kg taken weekly. You can use this site to figure out how many mg of ivermectin that is for your weight. If you have tablets, round up. Taking too much ivermectin is very unlikely to cause any problems, IMO (same statement about the evidence). One clinical trial is testing 1200mcg/kg for 5 consecutive days! I've been dosing at roughly 300mcg/kg/week since May with no ill effects -- not that my personal experience represents a scientific result. ;)
