Next time, please post questions like this to "Ivermectin conversations" pinned at the top. Main posts should be articles.
Are you experiencing swelling, and wonder if it's because you're taking ivermectin?
I have nothing for you, except the solitary fact that ivermectin is metabolized in the liver, and alcohol was one of the factors associated with fatalities in Congo Mass Drug Administrations (no data about that was presented, just a mention, so I'm not sure that I believe it).
Do you do twitter? The MD that I "know" best (via the internet) and trust is Dr. Aguirre @Aguirre1Gustavo. I'm not sure he'll answer, but you could ask him!
Edit: A quick google turned up this. I'm not sure what to make of it.

Yes, I am experiencing swelling, ultrasound confirmed. I had fatty liver years before which returned to normal after treatment and diet. Now I have been of profilactic ivermectin every 20 days since may and some months later I was diagnosed with fatty liver type 3 and swelling. I must say I am a hombrewer and beer is part of my constant day in day out.

Ugh. Doesn't sound good.
This is waaaay out of my depth. Ask Dr. Aguirre.
Or do the experiment of not drinking alcohol a while -- or not taking ivermectin for a while?
Weirdly, my (mild) craving for alcohol went away when I started taking ivermectin. There's a mouse study supporting the idea.

If you look up all the "don't drink" with IVM studies, they show a higher level of IVM in the blood for a few hours. That's it. So...bottom's up!

Alcohol can cause Ivermectin to cross the Blood-Brain Barrier which can result in serious neurological side effects. Ivermectin is very safe AS LONG AS YOU DONT DRINK ALCOHOL WHILE USING IT.

I don't think this is true. I've expressly looked for evidence of this, haven't found it.
Last year 540 million people took ivermectin to fight river blindness and filariasis... in a population which consumes alcohol. If that alcohol use had significant effects, we would have heard about it. These Mass Drug Administrations have been going on for 20+ years. A study of severe adverse neurological effects over much of that period found two deaths; IIRC neither were related to alcohol.
People seem to think that ivermectin crossing the blood brain barrier means instant death. I'm aware of two cases, one a woman who went loopy after taking ivermectin every day for two weeks, so presumably her BBB was crossed; and a kid with a mutation so he had a weak BBB who went into coma after taking ivermectin.
Both fully recovered in 2 days after stopping taking the drug.
