Haha, I've been opening the page regularly in the last couple of days and no results yet.

There is also the Singapore prophylaxis study with 4200+ people. That one should be statistically very significant. But IVM arm is treated with only one 12mg dose lasting for 42 days. I'm afraid it's a very small dose.

The Singapore study is on migrants workers. The death rate is really low in Singapore and thsi group seem very healthy. It might not show much. Studies from nursing homes will be far more conclusive. Saying that, I have also been waiting with interest and hope that this study shows something positive for IVM.

This is the 40th ivermectin trial registered on ClinicalTrials. It was added when it was completed. It looks like a solid design, aside from a small N and no placebo-control.

I like the ivermectin dosing: 200mgc/kg on days 1 and 2, and an optional dose on day 8. Use of doxycycline is good, too. Since this was posted to ClinicalTrials when it was completed, I take the age range in the Eligibility Criteria section as the actual age range of the subjects: 18-86. Nice to have some elders in the subject pool.

Please keep an eye out for results.

N=140, random assignment, singly-blinded (outcomes assessor), not placebo-controlled.

Treatment:

Ivermectin 200ug/kg PO per day for two days, and in some patients who needed more time to recover, a third dose 200ug/kg PO per day was given 7 days after the first dose.
Doxycycline 100mg capsule PO every 12h per day was given for 5-10 days, based on the clinical improvement of patients. In addition, standard of care was given to the patients of Ivermectin-Doxycycline group based on the clinical condition of each patient.

Treatment and control groups received standard care:

Acetaminophen 500mg on need
Vitamin C 1000mg twice/ day
Zinc 75-125 mg/day
Vitamin D3 5000IU/day
Azithromycin 250mg/day for 5 days
Oxygen therapy/ C-Pap if needed
dexamethasone 6 mg/day or methylprednisolone 40mg twice per day, if needed
Mechanical ventilation, if needed

Primary outcome measures:

1) Mortality rate (Time frame: 8 weeks)
2) Rate of progression to a more advanced stage (Time frame: 8 weeks)

Secondary outcome:

1) Time to recovery (symptom-free or PCR-) (Time frame: 8 weeks)

Ages: 18 - 86

small N, hope results are positive

i just saw that is a singly-blinded (outcomes assessor) and not placebo-controlled.

it's not a very good designed trial.

56 days of follow up with a blind outcome assesor, that mens that data can't be examined until 56 days follow up ends
