"It reveals to us that the use of ivermectin, which has already been shown to be effective, is not authorized" (Argentina, 2020-10-18) Dr. Carvallo talks about his two prophylaxis studies[-] TrumpLyftAlles | 1 points
I work on another prevention protocol together with Professor Roberto Hirsch, who is the director of the Infectious Diseases Department of the Muñiz hospital, which is the reference center for this issue in the country. In this study, only ivermectin is used without carrageenan and the results are very similar.
So the carrageenan isn't the active ingredient, in Dr. Carvollo's experience.
TLATODO: Post the whole article.

Pharmaceutical will fight against ivermectin because they cannot make money. If it is safe to use for lice, why can’t people take this for preventive measurement for the Covid patients especially for the elderlies. Corrupted democrats are killing the citizens of USA. All they think is $ and not people.

Totally agree. Ivermectin has an incredible safety record. It's sold OTC in much of the world.

Australian medic establishment tows the Big Pharma line.
Impossible to get a doctor to write a script here
Trials by Thomas Borody in Victoria State look to be stalled.. because of lack of infections..
The big spike in infections and elderly in care homes has gone away.
Of course , 30 pills are available online without a prescription for AU $95
(plus free VIAGRA) .. doubt whether that is of much interest to the +65 age group.

Do they risk lawsuits if they do?

That's great news! Not good for the advancement of ivermectin, but that hardly matters, compared to the ravages of the virus.

Do you mean, from India or another unofficial source? Those sound like US or Canada prices.

Drs here are time poor. They rely on approved recipe books.
The chefs who make them are illustrious with many letters after their names.. and are not prone to risking their reputation.. or their well paid salaries .
Creative thinkers like Borody make them uncomfortable ..
The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) are currently investigating ‘promotion’ of an ivermectin-based regimen for COVID-19, by gastroenterologist Professor Thomas Borody. Professor Borody, who developed triple-therapy for Helicobacter pylori infection, has recommended that GPs prescribe a triple therapy protocol using ivermectin, doxycycline and zinc. However, some of his comments are being investigated by the TGA as they potentially breach the ban on advertising COVID-19 treatments.18

Europharm somewhere in czechia supplies no-script meds..

IVERMECTIN: One Story of Superb Success and One Story of Sordid Skullduggery (Australia 2020-10-23) https://gumshoenews.com/2020/10/23/ivermectin-one-story-of-superb-success-and-one-story-of-sordid-skullduggery/#more-26161
The contents of the above gumshoenews link were created by myself (RedditUserName: RodRWA). It contains some text under my GumshoenewsUserName: RWA, which is also presented as "Editor Note".
The link involves two newspaper / magazine articles with the following details:
ARTICLE #1
https://www.eltribuno.com/salta/nota/2020-10-18-1-37-0--nos-desvela-que-no-se-autorice-el-uso-de-la-ivermectina-que-ya-demostro-ser-efectiva/ (Argentina 2020-10-18) El Tribuno is an Argentine newspaper, translated from Spanish to English by Google with some minor editing & comments by me (RWA). This is the same article quoted above by TrumpLyftAlles. (NOTE TO TLA: I did conduct a search as suggested by your very helpful "sub's naming convention" Post, but it came up blank, so I ended up posting this very comment as a separate Post. It was only later after finishing that Post, that I happened to accidentally find this Post of yours. Now that my Post is fully presented as a Comment here to your Post, I'll leave it up to you whether you delete that Post because it's a DUPLICATE, or whether you delete this Comment & leave my Post because it's not an absolute or exact DUPLICATE.)
ARTICLE #2
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/fda-obstruction-patients-die-while-trump-gets-the-blame (USA 2020-10-19) Some minor editing & comments by me (RWA).
I believe these articles make interesting reading about IVERMECTIN (IVM), & by association, about HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE (HCL). The HCL association exists because like IVM, HCL has SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) curative properties. Unfortunately, those very positive curative properties have ONLY (ONLY is an AuGov term, not mine) been established via documents involving Observational Studies (Anecdotal Experiences) instead of the haughtily-voiced "Approved Clinical Trials Procedures".
As regular Reddit Users would be aware, this lack of a positive Clinical Trials result is one of the annoying, ridiculous, disdainful, dismissive & arrogant reasons that are frequently quoted by the AuGov (Federal & State) & other authorities for not allowing IVM & HCL to be used in an off-label fashion to combat COVID-19 infection!
Further to this "lack of a positive Clinical Trials result" restricting the use of IVM & HCL to combat COVID-19 infection, I'm sure that regular Reddit Users would have an opinion regarding any additional reason why these restrictions exist. It probably has to do with MONEY. Well, now that MONEY link is well & truly established by Article #2. Admittedly, that link applies specifically to the USA & the FDA, but it does apply by default to Australia (& most other countries of the world) because of the AuGov's TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) tendency to rubber stamp any legislation produced by the FDA.
There is also the AuGov's own MONEY link to the Far-Off-Vaccine (my term), which the Prime Minister "proudly" announced some time ago. "Grrrrrr", to borrow a quote from, & with thanks to TrumpLyftAlles.
I commend these Articles to all Reddit Users, & I look forward to your comments. May I also suggest you distribute the link to this Reddit site &/or the Gumshoenews site. Distribute it far & wide with the suggestion that everyone put pressure on the AuGov to lift the restrictions & to make IVM (& HCL if you wish) readily available for use to combat COVID-19 infection. This pressure could be applied via Emails, Tweets, Phone Calls etc to each individual's local AuGov member or other Gov & non-Gov authorities, to the news media, to social media outlets etc.
It's time to use the voices of the Australian public, bruised & battered as they are by all the Lockdown procedures, to eradicate these devastating limitations by the simple process of IMMEDIATELY making IVM available!

You should make this a main post. Your title is perfect, thanks! :)
This sub has comparatively few readers. If your goal is getting attention, you should post it to /r/coronavirus. I'm not sure it will be well-received, esp. the bits about HCQ.
I think you're correct about the FDA, it is a roadblock for ivermectin -- but after decades of holding a particular policy about the standard of evidence required, I don't expect the FDA to change.

Thanks TLA. I'll also post it to /r/coronavirus as you've suggested, because attention is what I'm after, as well as any comments from Reddit Users. Cheers, & see you again, either here or on Twitter.
