Pathophysiological Basis and Rationale for Early Outpatient Treatment of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Infection (US 2020-08-07) Ivermectin ONLY in the accompanying video (???)https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0002934320306732

Ivermectin is in this image from the accompanying video, but not in the paper! Edit: My tweet received the reply "An update of the paper is in the works" and later "The chart you saw in the video is part of the updated paper we hear." Hopefully the paper will include ivermectin!
The discussion of ivermectin begins at 13:00.
Ivermectin is an anti-parasitic agent that also has proven antiviral effects. It works by inhibiting the viral entry into the nucleus of cells, so it works from a different perspective than HCQ. This drug has no cardiac toxicity that has been reported. It is also combined with the two antibodies [Azithromycin and Doxycycline] that I reviewed. However, dosing is not so well worked out. Dosing is 200mcg/kg which comes out to roughly 12mg a day. It has a half-life of about 25 hours. So it's unclear if it should be given once a day, or 2 doses or 3 doses. One protocol actually given 3 doses and shown efficacy. There have been 5 prospective studies and 1 randomized trial of ivermectin. It's certainly a choice when available for treating covid-19 at home. It's very safe and available.
The image in the paper omits ivermectin. 😢
The video was tweeted with the statement that "YouTube has removed video of highly-respected Baylor vice-chair of Internal Medicine Peter McCullough, MD discussing peer-reviewed early outpatient treatment for COVID-19."
The paper does discuss HCQ!
It's discouraging, that the editors / reviewers of the article apparently demanded the removal of ivermectin from the paper, while allowing HCQ, which AFAIK has been proclaimed a failure in the US medical community.
My summary tweet:
The video's paper (linked) recommends:
Fresh air, zinc lozenges/sulfate, antivirals (HCQ, Azithromycin, Doxycycline, Favipiravir), Colchicine, baby aspirin, 02 assistance.
No ivermectin in the paper but it IS in the video (as IVM). Why was it dropped? 😒
Edit: Has a trial that tried 600mcg/day been reported? Damn my highly-fallible memory!

"Guzzo et al. conducted a study with escalating doses of ivermectin in which some volunteers safely received doses of up to 2,000 mcg/kg, i.e. ten times the approved dose for onchocerciasis.
Although not described by Guzzo, persons receiving ivermectin at doses of 800 mcg/kg or above in other studies have sometimes described transient visual disturbances.
Smit et al. safely administered 600 mcg/kg daily for three days."

Ah, you know all about Guzzo. Where does the quote come from? It looks familiar.

First I've read of him, actually. The page is from Chaccour.

A tweet? That's where I saw it.
I only knew of Dr. Marik from his protocol, going back to May. I've been listening to This Week in Virology and he's gotten a couple mentions that suggest he's well-known well-respected.
I emailed him today asking for a paragraph about his clinical observations, treating patients with IVM. I probably won't get a reply.

Excellent link, thanks so much. I saw an image of it once on twitter, had no idea which study it came from, failed to grab the link.
I guess I still don't know the source study. The image appears to be a list of safety studies. "Guzzo et al 2002" is the study that found 10 x 200mcg/kg safe, esp. no Central Nervous System effects were observed. Does your google fu suffice to find the report (I assume) that the image came from? Hmm: It could be an ISGLOBAL grant application or something.
Do you want to post that link, with a title like "ISGLOBAL collection of safety studies of 800mcg/kg or more ivermectin" ? The ISGLOBAL and 800 will help when I search for it.
Great find! How did you find it!?

Table 1 has a subset of the trials in the image. Did I miss another list?
I haven't seen that study before (or don't remember it). Post-worthy?
