Now patients with mild symptoms and health workers will be given ivermectin medicine. Its trial is going on in SN Medical College. This medicine will be given to the patients without symptoms and mild symptoms of fever, cold and cough. The family of the infected patient will also be given this medicine. This medicine is also to be given to the medical staff engaged in the treatment of infected patients.
This medicine will not be used on an infected pregnant woman and child below 12 years. Earlier, plasma therapy was also tried at SN Medical College. So far six patients have been treated, two are still admitted. CMO Dr. RC Pandey said that on the instructions of the government, the patient of this medicine will be given to the family of the infected patient and the medical staff engaged in treatment.
Dr. Ajit Chahar of the Department of Medicine of SN College said that on the instructions of the Director General of Medicine and Health, trials have been started on the patients. This is expected to lead to better results in infection prevention and treatment.
