COVID-19: “THERAPEUTIC TEST" FOR PATIENTS WITH PERSISTENT SYMPTOMS.
With ASA (Acetylsalicylic Acid) and IVM (Ivermectin).
Given the high number of people with Persistent Symptoms of COVID-19, and the difficulties for an adequate diagnosis, it is proposed to carry out a "Therapeutic Test" using 2 widely used drugs, these 2 drugs are among the most widely used used in the history of mankind, the very high number of doses given gives an experience and safety in its use.
The simplified scheme consists of:
AAS = 200 mg. after breakfast for 2 days (2 tablets of 100 mg in a row). Then 200 mg. at breakfast and 100 mg. after dinner, for 4 more days. In those who weigh less than 70 kilos, or who are very weak or prostrate, start the first 2 days with 100 mg. and then go up to 200mg. up to date.
IVM = From the 3rd or 4th day of starting ASA, take 0.2 mg. per kilo of weight after dinner for 3 days. If the symptoms are moderate, take also after breakfast.
People with Persistent Symptoms should AVOID: Coffee, soda, and other beverages or medications that contain caffeine.
Do not take other NSAIDs at the same time. Also avoid orange, lemon, other citrus fruits, Vitamin C, raspberry pear, grape, raisin, chocolate, cocoa, oatmeal, walnuts, peanut, almond, seeds, wheat, barley, bran, chili pepper, spicy condiments, egg yolk , beans, peas, spinach, pork, liver, fish, squid, shrimp and other shellfish.
Before starting this "Therapeutic Test", all the Symptoms that it presents must be noted, and day by day it must be recorded which symptoms are reduced and which are not. The "Therapeutic Test" is based on showing whether there is a significant response to treatment.
ASA is indicated for its antithrombotic and antiplatelet effect. IVM (Ivermectin) is indicated for its effect in reducing viral load and replication. At the end of the "Therapeutic Test", the response is evaluated with the clinical improvement of the symptoms. If there are auxiliary tests with findings, these can also be compared to verify therapeutic response.
