Just to add more information about this.

only subjects with symptoms were tested,

those were on the group without the protocol IVER.CAR. (7 people got tested)

this is questionable

Begining in July-2020

the IVER.CAR protocol was updated.

to ivermectin 12mg (2pills or 60 drops) once a week

and one shot of the iota-carrageenan spray in each nostril 4 times a day.

This new protocol was given to 4 different health centers

I - HOSPITAL ZONAL GENERAL DE ACUDOS DR. ALBERTO ANTRANIK EURNEKIAN - EZEIZA:

Total participating personnel 730

600 received IVERCAR

130 did not receive IVERCAR

120 people infected (SARS-COV2), and were in the cohort that did not receive IVERCAR

II - ÁNGEL MARZETTI MUNICIPAL HOSPITAL - CAÑUELAS:

Total personal participant 150

90 received IVERCAR

60 did not receive IVERCAR

47 people infected (SARS-COV2), and were in the cohort that did not receive IVERCAR

III - CUENCA ALTA HOSPITAL. CAÑUELAS - CAÑUELAS:

Total personal participant 300

90 received IVERCAR

210 did not receive IVERCAR

65 infected people (SARS-COV2), and were in the cohort that did not receive IVERCAR

IV - Centro Medico Caseros - C.A.B.A:

Total personal participant 15

8 received IVERCAR

7 they did not receive IVERCAR

5 infected people (SARS-COV2), and were in the cohort that did not receive IVERCAR

FINAL RESULTS

In the present trial, 1,195 Health Agents participated.

Of these, 788 received IVER.CAR, while 407 did not.

In the group that did not receive IVER.CAR, 237 infections (58%) were verified.

In the group that received IVER.CAR, there were NO infections.

Hi, 23rul,

Thanks for your post! It was a lot of work, formatting all that.

IGNORE THE REST :)

Where did you get your information? This article has some of what you posted, but nothing indicating that only 7 people were tested for the virus, and nothing about a change in the protocol. Unless I missed it, always possible.

You post is actually about this other study. Would you move it please?

As I said in my write-up of this study, it only had 131 patients treated with ivermectin + carrageenan spray. The other study is the one where 768 patients received that treatment. (Or 788?)

When you move your post, would you please include your source as a link?

THANKS! :)

sorry about the late response, this document and the study of 788 health agents reciving ivermectin it's the same IVER.CAR study.

the protocol got updated on July-2020 and that protocol was used on that late study.

all of this is really confusing, i think that's why clinicaltrials isn't accepting this trial as valid yet

also yes, the information is on page 9 and 11 of this study

Page 11 says that the protocol got updated and will be used on the whole hospital (730 health agents), it was later used on other hospitals, but there is no mention on that.

Page 9 says that 7 people got tested on "without IVERCAR" group

This is different from Dr. Aguirre's prophylaxis report posted here, where he reported:

In people who have been using PrEP, we are seeing that Ivermectin reduces the risk of contracting the virus by approximately 99% when taken weekly, and by 94% if taken every 2 weeks (every 14 days).

A few days ago he tweeted that he would get me the backing report this week!

Great! Did you translate it? I wonder which are the study limitations though as it’s not accepted yet.

No, I didn't translate it. My Spanish is limited to "Uno, Dos, Tres, Vier, Fünf, Sects, Huit, Neuf, Dix".

Lol. It’s a really good translation given it’s automatic. Tried to find major differences but I am not finding any.

I thought it was funny that, after describing the primary research measure, the secondary measure was labelled "High schools". That's the only one I spotted thus far.

Luis, I gather you read Spanish?

In the first sentence of the study design, it says "The study will consist of a total of 5 face-to-face visits (to be carried out at the health institution or at the subject's home) and / or daily remote controls."

I think "daily remote controls" is weird. Is there a better translation?

I agree but can’t think any other option right now that won’t change the meaning.

OK, thanks for looking. Do you think it means phone calls? Zoom?

Yes. Probably Zoom or similar.

This is the translated-by-computer English version of this report.

Here is the original Spanish version.

The treatment:

* Ivermectin drops (6 mg / ml), Cert. No. 58,382, ANMAT Composition: each 100 ml, 0.6 g of ivermectin.

* Carrageenan spray, Cert. No. 57.232, ANMAT Composition: 100 ml, 0.9 g of sodium chloride and 0.17 g of carrageenan.

Dosage scheme: one shot of the iota-carrageenan spray in each nostril and 4 shots of the spray into the oral cavity. Then apply 1 drop of Ivermectin oral solution on the tongue.

How much in a drop? Google says there are 200 drops in a 100 ml bottle, or 2 drops per ml.

0.6g / 100ml = 6mg/ml = 3mg in a drop.

So they are taking a drop of ivermectin every 4 hours, that's 12mg/day, which is 200mcg/kg if you're 60kg (132 pounds). So a light dose.

The ivermectin was tasty! (Horse paste isn't.)

Ivermectin solution contains 0.6 g of Ivermectin, 0.1 g sodium saccharin, 0.2 g peppermint essence, 0.2 vanilla essence propylene glycol 80 g, sorbitol 70% qs 100 ml.

Subjects were in the hospital or at home. They were contacted 5 times, face-to-face and/or "daily remote controls" (?? phone calls?).

(no test for covid-19??)

I find it really surprising that testing wasn't done after day 14.

[More after my compulsory walk]

Results:

Chi square test p value = <0.0001
