Experiment!

This is a (deliberate) repost of a report that i8wu posted recently. i8wu originally linked to an image of the report, then posted a link for downloading the PDF.

I posted the PDF to scribd.com and specified that it is public domain, since "copyright" doesn't appear anywhere in the report. The advantage is you can just follow the link and start reading.

This is experimental because some PDFs I have posted to scribd seem to be visible only to me.

PLEASE let me know if you can NOT see the PDF when you follow the post's link.

Thanks.

Thanks, stereomatch. Grrr. Need another place.

Edit: I can see it. It's crummy that it's invisible to other without any notice or explanation.

It could be incomplete settings or the decision by scribd to make some docs only available for paying customers - as doc below suggests.

You can test if a doc is visible to others by opening a private window or incognito window in your browser - there paste the public url and see if it is visible to you.

https://support.scribd.com/hc/en-us/articles/210134786-Uploading-documents?mobile_site=true

Once it's uploaded and converted, it's time to tell us more about it!

The title and description fields are required before it'll fully display on your profile. Here's where you get the opportunity to create an engaging title and a short, concise description to catch a reader's interest! Include as much information about your document as possible - it'll help people to find your work and want to read it.

If you would like to make the document private instead of publicly available to the readers on Scribd, click the checkbox under the description field next to "Make this document private".

In addition to the title information, clicking on "Advanced Settings" will show additional options. Here, you can choose whether you'd like to give other members the ability to copy and paste text from your document as well as the option to download it directly to their computer.

When everything is just how you want it, click on the "Done" button and you'll be taken to a page where you can click on the "View" button to view your newly published document on Scribd, and a link to view all of your uploads.

In some cases, full versions of a document may only be visible to paying Scribd subscribers. For information about adjusting your upload settings please check out our article, "How do I prevent readers from paying to download or read my documents?"
