Going from the title, it looks like one group (Ivermectin+ Dexamethasone ) did much better. Hopefully we'll get more detail clarifying what happened. But if the control group didn't get Dexamethasone, which is known to be pretty effective, it's hard to draw a lot of conclusions about what the Ivermectin was doing.

I did that combo, Dex is not a cure, you can take it for weeks and you won't resolve covid.

But ivermectin allows the body to fight the virus, without it pretty sure I'd be dead now.

I'm an Ivermectin enthusiast, but to prove that it works, we need that the other branch also had dexamethasone, because dexamethasone has been tested every which way and approved by UK as reducing mortality by around 30%. The statements of some medical boards or hospitals are interesing - they say "give it if you think it works, but without proof (i.e. RCTs) we cannot officially recommend it".

look I've been on both, I know exactly what it feels like and what the results are

dex just hides all the symptoms, it radically dials down all inflammation response almost as if you are not sick at all

but dex does absolutely nothing nothing to cure the cause, the moment you stop dex you are sick again, I experienced that dramatically

ivermectin actually allows your immune system to identify and fight the virus, it knocks down replication just enough for a weakened immune system to still "win" against it when without that assistance it would be overwhelmed

both should be used if the situation is severe enough, if an early infection then you don't need dex at all, just ivermectin

and I have no idea why the USA is not using ivermectin, it makes zero sense to me, it most definitely works

Awesome! From the vid, there were 135 light cases, none needed internment after 21 days. Typically, 5% of such light cases worsen.

For moderate/severe, 1 of the 32 ivermectin group died, 3 of the 14 control group died. (p = 0.04)

How is the preliminary data from a study not relevant?

You do understand there are levels of evidence right?

This is a study 🙄 they're releasing the report shortly. They have results on the yt vid

I do apologize

But “reports are coming shortly” has been the theme song for this sub for two months now.

If the data is solid, they would release a pre-print. Not releasing it makes their claims very suspect
