Still available at Amazon.

eBay has banned the sale of certain pet medication citing its policy around potential cures for COVID-19. The ban applies to products containing Ivermectin on all eBay sites, according to the announcement found on the eBay Australia board.

Ivermectin is a medication that is commonly found in pet products that are used to treat parasite infestations,” eBay stated. “Research has been released around the potential use of the drug as a treatment for COVID-19 in humans.”

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a letter in April warning not to use Ivermectin intended for animals as a treatment for COVID-19 in humans. People should never take animal drugs, the agency said in its letter: “FDA is concerned about the health of consumers who may self-medicate by taking ivermectin products intended for animals, thinking they can be a substitute for ivermectin intended for humans.”

The FDA also noted it had established a task force to closely monitor online marketplaces for fraudulent COVID-19 products.

The FDA and eBay are a bunch of assholes. First, this cuts off legitimate veterinary users of ivermectin products. Second, it prevents people from taking control of their own health in a truly this-can-only-harm-the-self-and-no-one-else kind of way if they choose to ignore FDA guidelines and following the research. Until Stromectol is available over the counter, by consulting a pharmacist, or through a regular and easy to get prescription, it makes no sense to cut off the alternative. Our healthcare system is such a lumbering dinosaur.

it makes no sense to cut off the alternative

Rules are rules. My primary physician refused to write me a prescription because it is not good medical practice to prescribe drugs for unproven purposes. He did the right thing, from the conservative (not in the political sense) viewpoint. He's a good doctor. He and thousands of other doctors will shy away from ivermectin until the trials come in. I don't blame him.

Thankfully there's still the horse paste option at Amazon. I won't be surprised if Amazon starts requiring a veterinarian's prescription for it.

eBay is probably concerned about liability.

Bear in mind that what you know about ivermectin is a ton more than the FDA or the medical community. It has almost no visibility in US media -- and what there is, is often negative. I'm not a conspiracy nut -- but sometimes it seems like there's an organized campaign against ivemectin. For example, the original paper that kicked off interest in the drug was the Monash 48 hours study. When it was published, it was accompanied by two letters making the same argument, that the required concentration is too high. That argument has been repeated in 6-10 articles. The authors of the 2 letters have literally hundreds of publications between them, and they had never written a letter before. It's easy to imagine someone making phone calls asking for a favor: "I need you to write a letter..."

Have you secured a supply?

this could be fixed so easily if the pricing for the real medication in the USA actually reflected reality

$30 for a box of 20 is not reasonable when it's 10 cents a pill over the northern or southern border, I spent over $100 on them and that's a lot of money for me right now

this country is insanity, we literally kill ourselves to make the rich even richer and then people fight to keep it that way forever
