Bulgaria invented ivermectin (it didn't, and this isn't the real title) (Bulgaria, 2020-07-08)

Posted just for the amusement. In fact ivermectin was discovered in Japan and developed by an American; in 2015 the two men shared the Nobel Price in Medicine for the ivermectin work.

#I experienced a Bulgarian drug for COVID-19 - ivermectin. The Minister of Health announced it.

We can't help but believe him. And we say it takes years. In Bulgaria, only two months are enough, and let the others clash for decades. We are yet to become famous. How I slept for the last 45 years and did not understand that the drug Ivermectin discovered in 1975 is a Bulgarian discovery and instead of saving it for the current epidemic of COVID-19, we spent it on the treatment of scabies, lice and various other parasites. Veterinarians are guilty of failing to reveal in time the secret that animals with scabies treated with ivermectin do not become infected with SARS-CoV-2. This discovery is a sensation worthy of THE LANCET and the WHO bulletin.

Just as a footnote to this "discovery" I will add that more than a month ago in the magazine "BIOTECHNOLOGY & BIOTECHNOLOGICAL EQUIPMENT" (2020, VOL. 34, NO. 1, 469-474) Prof. Georgi Momekov (member of MES ) and Denitsa Momekova published an article summarizing that the available pharmacokinetic data from scientific studies to date indicate that reaching inhibitory concentrations of ivermectin against SARS-CoV-2 does not appear to be achievable in humans. So much. We will read the rest in THE LANCET.

This is the referenced article. It's just another "concentration too high!" claim.
