Before the stockout of the drug ivermectin for the treatment of patients with COVID-19the Ministry of Health, through the General Directorate of Medicines, Inputs and Drugs (Digemid), validated the formula standardized preparation of this drug antiparasitic in the concentration of 6mg/ml oral solution.
Currently, ivermectin is used in Peru for the initial treatment some patients of the new coronavirus, according to the Resolution N° 270-2020-MINSA, as there are studies that indicate that the drug inhibits the reproduction of SARS-CoV-2although it must only be consumed under medical prescription and in the presentation to humans, according to point to various specialists.

And this process occurred, yesterday, Thursday 18 of June, in the premises of the area of pharmacotechnics of the Production Unit of Health Services – Pharmacy of the Hospital Nacional Cayetano Heredia, and was in charge of professional specialists, representatives of different institutions.
Already in the in the next few days, this formulation standardized ivermectin and validated will be built to the Technical Standard of Health for the preparation of pharmaceutical preparations, with the objective that the peruvian population has access to pharmaceutical preparations made in areas of pharmacotechnics authorized and under the conditions of proper development, according to the legal norms in force.
