Well, actually he DOES offer a rationale: "Ivermectin prevents the virus from multiplying within cells, so as a preventive it works better than in cases that already have pneumonia." I happen to believe that -- with very little scientific justification other than the MedCram guy and other sources saying that ivermectin binds to the importin alpha/beta1 dimers that the covid19 virus otherwise uses to enter the cell nucleus where it replicates. I guess that's a good rationale! :)
