Sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Population, Egypt, this is a RCT with N=100, not blinded*, with three arms:

1) Ivermectin alone
2) Standard care (HQC)
3) Ivermectin + standard care (HCQ)

The outcome measures are (primary) "the role of ivermectin in the cure of COVID 19 patients" and (secondary) "to compare the results of ivermectin with the standard care" -- both outcomes in a time frame of 2 months.

The dates are weird?

Start date: 2020-06-09
Primary completion date: 2020-07-01
Study completion date: 2020-09-01

Given the two-month time frame, 2020-09-01 looks realistic; not sure if they actually think they'll have some results by 2020-07-01.

Description: as Egypt suffered a lot during the pandemic of COVID 19 with limited drug choices, many of the patients could not acheive viral clearence with the standard module of care teh idea of introduction of new medications in the treatment protocol of COVID 19 managment. Ivermectin had shown a promising results in vitro studies and in limited in vivo studies. this clinical trial may open a new hope for COVID 19 patients as a new and cheap line of treatment

Egypt is may be at their peak infection and death rate.
