Ivermectin drug eliminates 97% of COVID-19 within the cell in 48 hours, says infectologist (Brazil, 2020-06-06)So if they’re finding such success with ivermectin in Brazil, why is it one of the worst hotspots in the world, with their president going so far as to start hiding all data?

No drug will be 100% successful. Chemotherapy drugs don't cure all cancers. Does that mean they're useless? If research is showing that ivermectin is killing off a lot of the viral load, that is good?
Brazil has made all kinds of blunders. In the early HCQ days (just after Raoult claimed it a cure) they started giving 5x and 10x the regular dose in their clinical HCQ trials or studies, and this resulting in more deaths from side-effects than possibly from COVID. Brazil is huge and everyone is doing their own thing, it seems. Also, massive corruption, poor organisation, no regulations. Similar case with India. Some are doing this, others are doing that, no unity, no structure, no quick change. And no medicine is showing a solid "miracle cure" characteristic. For each medicine there is a time period in the infection, and a dosage, and depends on case specifics. Most medicines work in their respective niches. And nobody knows how to classify a new patient into which niche.

Not much here except the successful treatment of 5 elderly patients.
One of the enthusiasts of the use of ivermectin for the prevention of coronavirus, is the infectologist and immunologist from Rio Grande do Sul Fernando Suassuna. According to the doctor, who has been studying ivermectin for a few months in the laboratory, the medication, in 48 hours, “manages to eliminate 97% of the viruses inside the cells and 94% in the cell supernatant. It would be an effective and quick action ”, he commented, citing international studies.
Monash 48 hours study.
The second evidence, according to Fernando Suassuna, is a study carried out in the United States with 1,400 patients, in which 700 took Ivermectin and another 700 did not. “The mortality of those who took it was 1.85%. Who did not take it was 8.5% ”, he pointed out.
Usefulness of Ivermectin by the authors of the withdrawn Lancet study slamming HCQ (victims of HCQ politics IMO).
Suassuna said that, in a long-term care facility for the elderly, in the North of Natal, the drug was used for scabies in February in 27 elderly people. On May 18, some of the elderly began to show symptoms of Covid. Last week, booster doses of ivermectin were applied for one to three days, depending on the user.
Of the 27 elderly, five of them, between 70 and 82 years old, tested positive for Covid. While some were asymptomatic and others had mild symptoms. None was hospitalized.
Scabies affects millions of people. It's an opportunity for "found experiments", e.g. when they dose everyone in a prison for scabies. No one is doing the research. :(

Monash is the early-April result out of Australia that ivermectin kills 4999/5000th of the virus in 48 hours -- in vitro.
The Usefulness of Ivermectin study has been taken down. That is the one that had 1408 patients, half dosed with ivermectin.

Why was it taken down?

The authors published a study in Lancet that knocked HCQ, and that attracted a firestorm of criticism. As a result, they retracted their Lancet article and a BMJ article. I don't know but I suppose they took down the Usefulness article for the same reason.

Their database became known as a suspect source with no integrity and since the same database was used for the Usefulenss study, they had to take it down.
