Prediction: Ivermectin is more effective than Remdesivir and will be used as a main treatment for the COVID-19 diseaseIvermectin is already being used by some doctors, we are learning of it's benefits quickly. The studies show great promise. Another group that is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation is performing more studies. Ivermectin's effectiveness against the replication of COVID-19 will not be kept quiet.

That first link is an eye opener! A SINGLE dose resulted in 6x less deaths.
Due to the massive doses required to totally kill the virus (as per the invitro studies) I don't think it will become a main treatment any time soon, unless they figure out a way to deliver it directly to the lungs (via inhalation or something).
Appearently some doctors are prescribing it in a single dose alongside HCQ + zinc (to be taken about a week after starting HCQ).
All very off lable stuff for the time being, but it looks like things will change sooner or later as there are lots of trials underway and results look promising!

You don’t have to kill every virus. The point is you can give lower doses which are enough to knock the virus back a little allowing your body to fight it off. SARS-2 isn’t like HIV or Hepatitis where you want to kill off every virion.

The dosage was 150 mcg/kg in this observational study, they give 200 mcg/kg for river-blindness and with no adverse effects already. The amount they used in vitro doesn't determine the amount needed in vivo. It's off label sure, but when you consider how Ivermectin may block the virus from infecting cells, it shouldn't matter. They are now saying an arthritis drug (Tocilizumab) may stop cytokine storm and activate T cells which is huge. So off label is besides the point, who cares if it's usually used for something different. More studies need to be done.

Yes I agree and I hope those studies are done sooner rather than later for it to become more mainstream and therefore save more lives....
